Descriptions
Mowing:
All lawn areas are to be mowed weekly during the growing season at
recommended heights for particular turf type. All grass will
be mulched leaving the turf surface free of noticeable clippings.
Lawns over seeded with rye grass will be mowed year round.
Edging:
Lawn perimeters, walks, curbs and retainer walls are to be edged
to maintain a crisp, clean appearance.
Weed eat: Grass along
fence and building lines, trees, posts, decks, bed borders, etc.,
will be trimmed. (This type of trimming is used to cut vegetation
in nonmowable turf areas.)
Aeration:
Aerating a lawn means supplying the soil with air usually by poking holes into the ground throughout the lawn using an aerator. It reduces soil compaction and helps control thatch in lawns while helping water and fertilizer move into the root zone. This process is usually done in the spring.
Clean-up:
This service includes removing grass clippings from walks, curbs and pavings.
Trim Bushes:
Shrub hedges, ground covers and espaliered shrubs and vines will
be pruned according to recommended horticultural practices to
maintain a clean, attractive appearance. Shrubs should be
trimmed once a month or as needed during the growing season, which
is April through September.
Spot Spray Weed Control:
This service is provided on an as needed basis. A chemical
spray will be used to control individual weeds that grow up in the
lawn areas. Estimates will be provided upon request.
Over seed:
In
October, lawn areas shall be scalped and over seeded with a Winter
Rye to provide an even, healthy stand of cool season grass during
the winter months. Rye grass will be mowed weekly through
the cool season. Estimates will be provided upon request.
Scalping:
This is the process if cutting the grass back very low, usually about 1 inch.
This service is
done in March to allow the grass to come back full and healthy for
the year. Scalping is also done when over seeded a lawn.
Weed beds:
This service includes keeping landscaped beds weed free. This service is
only provided in selected areas. Estimates will be provided
upon request.
Color changes:
Annual flowers will need to be replaced twice a year, once in
spring and once in fall. Check the flower list for annuals
that will be best for each different season. Estimates will
be provided upon request.
Animal waste clean up:
For an additional fee animal waste will be picked up each week
along with scheduled mowing. Estimates will be provided upon
request.
Scalping Liriope:
Once a year in January, Liriope (Monkey Grass) should be cut back
in order for the new growth to come through. This way you
can clean up any dead foliage without damaging new growth.

Trimming Crape myrtles:
Once a year in January, Crape myrtles can be trimmed in order to
have a clean maintained look for the winter. Estimates will
be provided upon request.
Tree Trimming:
Trees shall be selectively pruned to removed dead and damaged wood
to improve the structure, strength, and appearance of the tree.

Leaf Clean Up:
Yards that have a large amount of leaves in the fall will need
extra clean up. Estimates will be provided upon request.
